John grew up playing indoor volleyball in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went on to playing collegiately at Lees-McRae where he was a middle blocker. John then transitioned to coaching indoor collegiately at William & Mary for one year. He then became the assistant at College of Charleston where he coached for 3 seasons before becoming the assistant coach at Clemson University. After one season of coaching at Clemson, John and Brittany got married and moved to Wilmington where John decided to begin a full-time career of working to grow the juniors beach volleyball scene in Wilmington, NC.
Greg played indoor club volleyball while studying Civil Engineering at the University of Tennessee. As a middle blocker, he helped Tennessee win an NCVF National Championship in 2015. After making the transition from indoor to sand, Greg won an NCSVA National Championship in 2016 and also earned a AA rating for California Beach Volleyball. Greg founded Sinjin Beach with the hopes of raising the standard of beach volleyball in North Carolina. Greg has played in numerous professional qualifiers in addition to winning multiple open events. Greg lives in Durham with his wife, Marie.
Brittany's volleyball journey started in Hendersonville, NC. She then was recruited as a middle blocker and had a standout career at Clemson University. Brittany assisted at UNCW for their indoor program for two years and was part of their beach program's coaching staff during their inaugural season. Brittany's career in pharmaceutical sales took her to Charleston, SC where she met John. Brittany and John both share a passion for volleyball both personally and professionally. They are excited to influence the next generation of athletes and continue to have beach volleyball be a big part of their lives.
Steve began his coaching career at Avalanche Club in Colorado. After moving to the Carolinas, Steve spent 10 years coaching at NC Elite in Raleigh. During that tenure, he coached juniors National Teams of ages ranging from 15 to 18. Steve started playing beach volleyball in college and has had the privilege to train and play against some of the world’s top beach volleyball players. Steve has a degree in Health and Human Performance from ECU that has served him well while coaching/training professional athletes. Steve works for Cisco and lives in Morrisville with his wife, Shasta, and their daughter, Daven.
